Loved this recipe ! It was simple ! I made the rib in my crockpot. I added a couple of extra cloves of garlic cause that ‘s what we like. The juice from the rib made an outstanding boom for potatoes ! delectable ! ! ! helpful ( 405 )

These were easy to make. We wanted something w/o barbecue sauce on them, and this fit the bill. Changed the method acting of formulation a piece by doubling the sum of pepper & flour with the lapp amount of salt and putting it into a fictile bag and coating the pieces of short rib inside the plastic bag before cooking the rib. Did n’t use the beer. After deglazing the pan with water & 2 gripe bouillon cube ( we were out of beef stock ), everything was put into a roast pan. Baked the rib in the oven with the cover on at 325 for about 2 hours. ( Watch so that the fluent does n’t run dry in the roaster ). They turned out identical affectionate and tasty. May use a carbon black pot the next time these are made as others have suggested. Thank You for posting. It ‘s a keeper. helpful ( 223 )

This is a thoroughly basic recipe that ‘s not hard to make. The short rib came out very tender. I did n’t do it, but you probably could make a estimable gravy from the broth to serve on squash potatoes. helpful ( 124 )

incredible preference. The recipe only calls for 1 pound of ridicule which is a identical humble total considering most of the burden is in the bones. I used 4 pounds. It took approx. 45 minutes to dredge and brown the rib. I did n’t increase the sum of the liquid though. The measure given in the recipe worked fine for the 4 pounds of kernel. I used my Lodge hurl cast-iron dutch oven which has a heavy eyelid and does n’t allow much fluent to cook out. It worked fantastic for the rib. After about two hours the meat was falling off the bone. The relish was great. We ate it with a courteous crusty bread and sopped up the juice. divine ! ! ! It was nice to find a rib recipe that does n’t rely on a angelic barbeque sauce. I will decidedly make this again and again. helpful ( 111 )

These were delightful, crank and easy ! My new favorite short rib recipe with these additions. I added a mix of paprika, chili gunpowder, brown carbohydrate, cayenne and garlic gunpowder to the flour/salt/pepper to dredge the ridicule in before browning. It gave them a delightful, crunchy crust. Place the brown rib in a large slow cooker then cook the onions and garlic in the lapp frying pan. Before removing the onions/garlic deglaze the pan with the beer. Pour this mix over the ribs along with the beef stock. I besides added a few squirts of Worchestershire to the fluid. Lay a large stem of rosemary and a pair stalk of sage on circus tent of everything. ( If desired, add chop carrots and mushrooms ). Cook on high for 5 hours. slightly thicken the sauce with a flour/water mix 1 hour before serve. helpful

alternatively of beer I used crimson wine and I besides added more garlic cloves. besides, when you take the meat out of the liquid at the end, let it boil down into a blockheaded demi candied type boom. About 10 or 15 extra mins. then spoon the demi candied over the kernel or onto mashed potatoes. This was indeed commodity that my neighbor, who is a chef, wanted seconds ! helpful ( 52 )

We ‘ve tried dozens of short rib recipes this one is easy and delish if you always watch cooking shows the chef always say keep it fresh and simple this reciepe fits the beak ! and my conserve always does the cooking bonus ! ! helpful ( 45 )

just tastes like batch roast to me. wholly unimpressed. Although it was commodity, it was not capital enough to make again. Sorry I am a tough customer when it comes to short rib. helpful ( 9 )
